2015 Ford F-150 production begins

Here we go, the production of 2015 Ford F-150 has just started at the Ford Rouge Center in Dearborn. It will be in US dealerships in December and offered in 90 markets worldwide in 2015. The assembly of this pick-up will also take place in Kansas City, Missouri, in the first quarter of next year. The planned production capacity of 700,000 units per year.


The F-Series (F-150 Super Duty +) is the pick-up the most sold in the USA for 37 years and the best-selling car for short 32 years. The line itself is 66 years old.

The big question is of course whether the customer will adhere to the aluminum body of the truck or if it will prove stubborn to change. GM should go the way of the blue oval with the next generation of Silverado and Sierra Ram but does not seem to believe in this formula.
