The Ford Mustang is designed to be global, but that does not mean that all versions will be exported in all markets. For example, the 3.7-liter V6 will stay quietly in North America to make room in the 2.3-liter Ecoboost elsewhere. This week, the blue oval presented its Shelby GT350 Mustang in Los Angeles and the question was posed to Jim Farley, new vice president for Europe, Middle East and Africa, if it will land on the old continent.
His answer may disappoint fans of character cars is this: "Oh, I do not know, we'll see, I think I'll be busy doing something else in Europe than driving luxury cars I'll probably drive.. Fiesta, Peugeot, Renault, Dacia, Skoda and Seat of. that's what really matters. "
Clearly, Farley does not close the door completely to the coming of GT350 Shelby Mustang in Europe but it is not far from being the case. It also feels a lot of motivation for his new role.
