Chevrolet Malibu does not find its audience. In
October, sales were 29% drop to 11,131 units, lower than the Chrysler
200 and 11 675 sales, even unlikely scenario last few months. Over 10 months, the decline was only 6%, 159,705 units, but the car did not start well high. What can thus explain the public's disenchantment with respect to this sedan? Certainly not its overall performance according to Consumer Reports.
The latter stated in its November issue that the Malibu is simply one of the best cars in its class. smooth driving, welcoming interior, good performance, refined ergonomics and excellent handling are among its many qualities. Better still, all this is accompanied by a "package" rather attractive with its styling cues taken from the Camaro.
Of course remain some flaws. Both
engines are slightly more gluttonous than the category average (despite
the presence of a series of stop-start with the 2.5-liter base), the
front seats wide and flat lack support on long journeys and if the rear seat is comfortable, the knee space remains limited despite a
slight improvement of the 2014 model (retouched catastrophe) over the
2013 model.
CR concluded by saying that if you search the silence of a Buick for the price of a Chevrolet Malibu is the car for you. The best-rated version is the LTZ turbo but it is also the most expensive.
